SEMA Sneak Peek – R Miller Chevy Cruze

SEMA Sneak Peek – R Miller Chevy Cruze

The R Miller Autobody x Mummbles Marketing x MoneyBaker Designs Chevy Cruze project is set to debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in moments – and it is our pleasure to give you a little sneak peek at the car.

The R Miller crew are veterans in the vw/audi scene – but are excited about promoting the GM brand with this vehicle. They’ve teamed up with some proven SEMA champions. Mummbles Marketing was DUB Magazine’s Top Builder of 2010 at last year’s SEMA show – as well as earning Best GM recognition with their Camaro. MoneyBaker Designs was crowned best-of-the-best champion at last year’s Scion Tuner Challenge -with a tC that R Miller performed a good bit of work on.

Over the course of the past six weeks, the team was able to mix their influences to create another clean and aggressive vehicle. The Cruze will debut in the Stewart Warner Performance gauges booth. HEPerformance fabricated a huge turbo upgrade system. Representing PA to the fullest.

RHDeshong

RHDeshong

With SEMA less than a week away, we thought it would be a perfect change of pace to feature a car that was built to the owner, Josh Deshong’s taste. This RHD Prelude doesn’t follow the rules of some of the over-hyped cookie cutter cars that most people are posting on the interwebz this week. The best part is the car makes over 325 hp on E85 fuel.

We originally shot this car back in the summer months. It was hot as sin that day. We held on to the photos because a national magazine was actually going to use them for a feature instead. But now we’re tired of waiting – and it seems like the details might have fallen thru – so we’re going to go ahead and do our part in an effort to make Josh an internet sensation.

Josh has been going hard at it for years now and it shows. He’s had the car for 12 years  but has been heavily involved in the car show game for 5+ years. This thing has just about every JDM option that was available on the 92 ‘Lude – plus a little touch of Josh’s personal style. He reps the wrteam squad, who is like a sleeping giant in the industry – Still building cool cars, not really over-hyping themselves or getting involved in the politics of competition these days. He spent most
of this year chilling with us in our booth – and became one of our favorite people to chill with in 2011.

In addition to hitting up car shows, Josh enjoys fishing & hunting – but most of all spending time with his son Ayden and fiance Ashley. If you like the car, he might sell it to you. We know he’s been on-again/off-again on the thought of letting her go. So hit him up, but only if you’re serious. Nobody likes a tease.

First Class Fitment

First Class Fitment

We were lucky enough to be included in Canibeat’s exclusive little gathering known as First Class Fitment. The event took place at the Princeton Airport in Jersey – which turned out to be an amazing venue for a car show/meet. Vehicles had to be approved in order to park on the showfield,  so we expected to see some quality fitted cars. And we did.

In honor of the event’s exclusivity, the JS/LLS booth was filled with some rare stuff.  Stance-thony’s M3 was rocking Turbo Fans to complete the BBS wheel trifecta for the year. We had Pete Colello’s one-of-a-kind Hyundai Equus as well. Later on in the day, we were joined by Kathy’s R32-turbo swapped A3.

Liberty VIP club was out in force for the show, of course. It just wouldn’t have been an exclusive fitment event without them. And good news, we finally hooked up with our boy Pham for a photoshoot this week after the event – so stay tuned for that also.

Recently featured, Matt Waln also made the trip up from VA with his 7 series.

It was definitely a cool event. Thanks to the Canibeat crew for not shutting us out! We’ll be back again next year – if we make the cut. Here’s the photos:

National Beard and Moustache Championships

National Beard and Moustache Championships

The 2011 National Beard and Moustache Champsionships took place this past weekend in Lancaster, PA – home of the Amish Beard! We decided we better pay this event a visit, so we grabbed our bearded booth guy, Schrummy and we headed out.

The event was held at Lancaster’s minor league baseball stadium – which was eerily similar to York’s minor league baseball stadium. We ran into a few familiar bearded faces there.

While in town, we decided to also check out the Taproom – Spring House Brewery. Very cool spot. The food was good and the beer was even better – including the Pumpkin and Peppermint Chocolate.

When we returned to the event after our visit to the Taproom, it was time for the Octoberfest beer tasting – and more Spring House beer! So we’ll be the first to admit that we don’t know who won any of the beard or moustache awards because we were busy drinking beer.

Schrummy and the one and only Jack Passion.

Check out the photos from our day in Amish Beard Country:

Static Seven

Static Seven

We had the pleasure of meeting Matt Waln out and about during H2O weekend. Leave it to us to go to the biggest VW show on our east coast – and come home with a feature shoot of a BMW. But hey, look at this thing. And it’s static.

When we met up with Matt after the show, the first thing we did was find a place with plenty of speed bumps to drive over to take some photos. The FK Highsport suspension has this thing sitting low – and the huge wheel arches of the 740i are no match for 19×9.5 et21 and 19×10.5 et17 OZ Futura’s – yet they’re a perfect match for them.

Other highlights of the car are the 01 taillights, 8k HID’s, dark smoke rain guards, and Alpina rep front lip. We won’t bore you with details because we know you want to get to the pictures.  So enjoy.
