For those of you who weren’t there (like us)- and for those who weren’t live streaming the festival all weekend, Coachella got under way this past weekend. As if it wasn’t enough of a thrill to have Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg headlining the first weekend full of performances, they did the impossible. Now Rick Ross ain’t the only person saying Tupac back. Insane hologram technology made it possible for the Coachella crowd to see Tupac perform again. This collaboration and incredible idea came from the mind of Dre himself and was executed by AV Concepts and curator Nick Smith. Smith wouldn’t say how much this specific event cost but said that a comparable project could cost anywhere from $100,000 to $400,000 to produce. Either way we say it was money well spent!
