H2Oi – part 1 – Big Ass BBQ

Every year around the end of summer, VW & Audi enthusiasts take over Ocean City, MD for the H2O international event. This show keeps growing and growing each year. And why not? It’s a weekend at the beach – even if it does rain all weekend long.  Despite the show’s new controversial venue, this year was no different. It’s the vicious circle of partying too hard, followed by waking up too early unless you want to wait in an hour or more of traffic to get from the hotel strips along Coastal Highway back across the Assawoman Bay – yeah I said it – to the event.

It’s a two-day show and Saturday has always been the Big Ass BBQ day. No show car judging,  just guys and girls hanging out and getting a jump start on checking out the vendors. We were overwhelmed with the support we got from the crowds on Saturday, so we knew that when the show opened on Sunday we’d be doing big things!

Space was cramped in our booth, but it was worth it because we were able to squeeze an all-star cast of cars into our area. Shout-out to Anthony (M3), Ian (widened steel mk3 Jetta TDI), Ryan (the infamous R Miller S4 Corrado), and Murph (R Miller mk2 VR6 GTI).

Here are some of the photos from Saturday:
