We had heard about Euro Hangar for a couple years now, and were interested in making the trip to Western Michigan to check it out. We basically only do one long road trip per year. This year we decided we didn’t want to watch chaos take over a cool little town with a European vibe. So we went to Holland – a cool little town with tulips and windmills and a Dutch Village and a ton of good beer… and a ton of super respectful European car enthusiasts with bad ass cars. We were able to tag along with the eJudged crew in their Airlift equipped Transit Connect Wagon – so it was well worth the ride for us!
From the Friday night pre-meet all the way thru to the crowning of the Top 25 at the end of Saturday’s main event, Euro Hangar was well organized and good, clean, laid back fun. We met some cool people, saw some cool new cars that we hadn’t seen on the east coast, and we introduced Pure Michigan to our brand. We did spend most of the day trying to come up with new and creative ways to anchor our tents and tables down to keep them from sailing across the airfield, but it was a small inconvenience for a chance to enjoy an event that we hadn’t gotten to attend until now.
Some of our favorites from the show:
This period correct wide body Mk3 killed it:
This Mk3.5 RHD Cabrio was so clean:
Bad ass big body Bimmer:
MK4 with an impressive bay and full tweed interior, that surprisingly works very well with the build.
The Corrado Rush:
Air-cooled overload:
Racecar paddock at the Counter Kultur booth:
Orchid Euro arrived in style with this stretch mk2 Jetta:
This Morgan is certainly something you won’t see everyday:
Enjoy the rest of the photos from Euro Hangar. We’re truly glad we got to pay this show a visit, and we look forward to the Euro Hangar gang making a trip to see us in the near future… maybe for our Knoedown event this fall. Cheers!
