SEMA 2011 Recap

posted in: automotive | 1

Each year around Halloween, the car culture packs up and heads to Las Vegas for a week of business in the day and party in the night. The SEMA Show is where all the new products are launched and all of the industry’s top builders set the upcoming trends. This year’s big hitters were matte paint and Rotiform wheels. Both of which we’re already familiar with, but it’s great to see a company like Rotiform changing the game.

One of the main attractions of SEMA is the Scion Tuner Challenge. This year’s winner – Jon Sibal – was spot on with the fit and finish. It was also cool to see some time attack love – with both the Evasive iQ (2nd place Tuner Challenge) and the Bucky Lasek tC in the booth. As always Scion had some of the coolest stuff in their booth.

We were proud to see our homies at R Miller Autobody getting tons of attention in the Stewart Warner booth all week. They decided to go their own way along with some fresh ideas from the Mummbles Marketing crew. They put a brand new twist on the classic carbon fiber treatment with a flawless Fibre Glast wasp carbon hood/roof/trunklid. Everytime we passed by the car there was people checking out the big HEPerformance turbo set-up.

It’s no surprise that the illest x fatlace cars were dope.

The front porch of the Central/North Hall entrances was dominated by euro & VIP styled fitment cars.

Old school cars with modern fit and finish approach are always the most impressive.

We could’ve taken pictures for four full days at SEMA. But instead we spent one very hungover afternoon doing it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did…
